Last Updated: 20th January 2026
1. Protect Your Personal Information
Your profile may be public on the Platform. You should take care to protect sensitive information.
Do not share:
- Passwords or login codes
- One-time passcodes (OTP)
- Copies of passports/driving licences (unless formally required and verified)
- Your full home address (unless absolutely necessary and verified)
Be cautious with:
- Sharing your phone number too early
- Sending personal documents
- Sending your location until the project is confirmed
2. Auditions & Meetings (Casting Industry Guidance)
Auditions and meetings may be arranged by Hiring Managers or production teams. These are not organised or supervised by 3LightTalent.
2.1 Speak properly before meeting
Before attending any audition or meeting, we strongly recommend:
- Speaking to the Hiring Manager first
- Confirming the role, location, date, and expectations
- Requesting written confirmation where possible
2.2 Only meet in appropriate locations
Auditions and meetings should take place in:
- Professional studios
- Public venues
- Recognised production spaces
- Legitimate offices
2.3 Do not attend auditions at private homes
For safety reasons, you should not attend auditions or meetings at:
- Private homes
- Hotel rooms
- Isolated locations
If someone insists on meeting in a private home, treat this as a red flag and report it.
3. Verify Identities & Legitimacy
We take steps to verify Hiring Managers and projects, which may include:
- Identity checks
- Company checks
- Legitimacy review
- DBS checks where applicable
However, no verification system is perfect. People may still misrepresent themselves.
You should verify independently where possible, including:
- Production company name
- Official website/socials
- Production details
- Who you will be meeting and where
If something feels suspicious, do not proceed.
4. Financial Safety (Payments, Fees & Fraud)
4.1 Never pay to "secure" a role
You should never be asked to pay casting fees, admin fees, registration fees, "guarantee" fees, or "processing" fees. If you are asked to pay money to secure a job, report it immediately.
4.2 Expenses-only and unpaid roles
Some roles may be unpaid or expenses-only. Hiring Managers should clearly state whether a role is paid or unpaid, what expenses are covered, and expected hours and requirements.
4.3 Bank Details (Getting Paid Safely)
3LightTalent does not handle payments between users. Payments (if applicable) are arranged directly between Talent/Crew and the Hiring Manager/production.
You should only share bank details when:
- You have been formally offered the role
- You have verified the Hiring Manager / production legitimacy
- You have agreed payment terms in writing (rate, dates, invoice terms)
- You are sharing details through a professional method (for example, an official production email or payroll process)
You should never share:
- Online banking passwords
- One-time passcodes (OTP)
- Card PINs
- Full card details for "verification"
- Screenshots of your banking app
4.4 Payment disputes
3LightTalent is not responsible for missed payments, late payments, or payment disputes between users. However, we may assist by investigating matters only where they occur on the Platform.
5. Professional Conduct
We expect all users to behave professionally.
Unacceptable behaviour includes:
- Harassment
- Bullying
- Threats or intimidation
- Discrimination
- Sexual pressure or coercion
- Requests for nudity or sexual content
- Abusive language
- Misuse of power or role promises
We operate a zero-tolerance approach to serious misconduct.
6. Content Safety (No Nudity / No Sexual Content)
3LightTalent does not allow nudity on the Platform.
You must not upload, post, or request:
- Nude or sexually explicit images/videos
- Sexual services or "adult" content
- "Private auditions" involving nudity
- Any content that breaches our Terms
If nudity is requested through messaging, report it immediately.
7. Recognising and Avoiding Scams
Be cautious if someone:
- Offers a role instantly with no audition
- Pressures you to act quickly
- Asks for money upfront
- Asks for private photos or inappropriate material
- Avoids giving production details
- Refuses to provide a public location
- Insists on meeting in a private home
- Communicates in a way that feels coercive or sexual
If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and report it.
8. Reporting Concerns
8.1 Report button
You can report users and content through the Platform using the Report button.
8.2 What happens when you report
We may review messages and activity related to the report, investigate suspected breaches, issue warnings, suspend or permanently ban users, and remove job listings or content. Where appropriate, we may contact the affected user(s).
8.3 Serious incidents
If behaviour appears illegal or dangerous, we may escalate the matter to law enforcement.
9. Our Commitment to Safety
We use controls designed to protect users, including moderation processes, automated flagging of inappropriate messages, review rights where misuse is suspected, and enforcement action for rule breaches.
However, no platform can eliminate all risk. Users must take reasonable precautions.
10. Emergency Situations
If you are in immediate danger:
- Leave the situation immediately
- Call emergency services (999 in the UK)
- Seek help from staff/security if you are at a venue
