Safety Guidelines
3LightTalent Limited
Last updated: 2 June 2026
At 3Light Talent we take the safety of our community seriously. These guidelines help Talent, Crew, and Hiring Managers use the Platform responsibly and reduce the risk of harm, scams, inappropriate behaviour, or unsafe working conditions. While we take steps to moderate the Platform and protect users, 3Light Talent is a platform and does not organise, control, or supervise in-person auditions, filming, production activity, or any agreement made off the Platform. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions when engaging with others. These guidelines should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.
1. Protect Your Personal Information
Your profile may be publicly visible on the Platform, so take care with sensitive information.
Never share the following with anyone, including people who contact you through the Platform:
- passwords or login codes;
- one-time passcodes (OTP);
- copies of your passport or driving licence;
- your full home address.
Be cautious about:
- sharing your phone number too early;
- sending personal documents; and
- sharing your location until a project is confirmed.
2. Auditions and Meetings
Auditions and meetings are arranged by Hiring Managers or production teams. They are not organised or supervised by 3Light Talent.
2.1 Speak first
Before attending any audition or meeting, speak to the Hiring Manager, confirm the role, location, date, and expectations, and request written confirmation where possible.
2.2 Meet in appropriate locations
Auditions and meetings should take place in professional studios, recognised production spaces, legitimate offices, or public venues.
2.3 Do not attend at private or isolated locations
For your safety, you should not attend auditions or meetings at private homes, hotel rooms, or isolated locations. If someone insists on a private home, treat it as a red flag and report it.
2.4 Tell someone where you are going
Let a trusted person know where you will be, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be back, and consider taking someone with you, especially for a first meeting. Share your live location with a trusted contact if you can.
3. Verifying Legitimacy
Before a job is published, we review the listing. Where we can, we also carry out company or business checks, for example confirming that a production company appears to be a genuine, registered business.
We do not carry out identity checks or DBS checks on individual Hiring Managers, and no checking can be perfect, so we cannot guarantee that any person or project is what it claims to be.
Always verify independently where you can, including:
- the production company name;
- its official website and social media;
- the production details; and
- who you will be meeting, and where.
If something feels suspicious, do not proceed.
4. Financial Safety
4.1 Never pay to secure a role
You should never be asked to pay casting fees, admin fees, registration fees, guarantee fees, or processing fees to secure a job. If you are, report it immediately.
4.2 Unpaid and expenses-only roles
Some roles may be unpaid or expenses-only. Hiring Managers should state clearly whether a role is paid or unpaid, what expenses are covered, and the expected hours and requirements.
4.3 Bank details
3Light Talent does not handle payments between users. Any payment is arranged directly between Talent or Crew and the Hiring Manager or production.
Only share bank details once:
- you have been formally offered the role;
- you have verified the Hiring Manager or production;
- you have agreed payment terms in writing (rate, dates, invoice terms); and
- you are sharing through a professional method, such as an official production email or payroll process.
Never share:
- online banking passwords;
- one-time passcodes (OTP);
- card PINs;
- full card details "for verification"; or
- screenshots of your banking app.
4.4 Payment disputes
3Light Talent is not responsible for missed payments, late payments, or payment disputes between users. We may assist by investigating matters only where they take place on the Platform.
5. Professional Conduct
We expect all users to behave professionally.
Unacceptable behaviour includes:
- harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation;
- discrimination;
- sexual pressure or coercion;
- requests for nudity or sexual content;
- abusive language; and
- misuse of power or role promises.
We operate a zero-tolerance approach to serious misconduct.
6. Content Safety
3Light Talent does not allow nudity or sexual content on the Platform.
You must not upload, post, or request:
- nude or sexually explicit images or videos;
- sexual services or adult content;
- "private auditions" involving nudity; or
- any content that breaches our Terms.
If nudity or sexual content is requested through messaging, report it immediately.
7. Recognising and Avoiding Scams
Be cautious if someone:
- offers a role instantly with no audition;
- pressures you to act quickly;
- asks for money upfront;
- asks for private photos or inappropriate material;
- avoids giving production details;
- refuses to provide a public location;
- insists on meeting at a private home; or
- communicates in a way that feels coercive or sexual.
If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and report it.
8. Reporting Concerns
8.1 Report button
You can report users and content through the Platform using the Report button.
8.2 What happens next
We may review messages and activity related to the report, investigate suspected breaches, issue warnings, suspend or permanently ban users, and remove job listings or content. Where appropriate, we may contact the affected users.
8.3 Serious incidents
If behaviour appears illegal or dangerous, we may escalate the matter to law enforcement.
9. Our Commitment to Safety
We use controls designed to protect users, including moderation processes, automated flagging of inappropriate messages, the right to review activity where misuse is suspected, and enforcement action for rule breaches. No platform can remove all risk, so users must still take reasonable precautions.
10. Emergency Situations
If you are in immediate danger:
- leave the situation immediately;
- call emergency services (999 in the UK); and
- seek help from staff or security if you are at a venue.
3Light Talent is not an emergency service. Always contact the relevant authorities first if a situation is urgent.
